I’ve been making paintings (mostly of Vermont) for over ten years. Witnessing the story a landscape is sharing is something I hold close. What it chooses to reveal and conceal, and my absorption into it, is the underlying premise to all my paintings. The simultaneous here and there of a landscape connecting us to its unique story, maybe to something more. This is why I paint.
