We’re looking for a creative and fun individual to join our store team as a Retail Sales + Social Media Associate.
Ideal candidates are available 20 - 40 hours per week, with at least one shift during the weekend.
If you have a passion for small business, a keen eye for aesthetics, and love connecting with customers both in-store and online, this might just be your dream job.
What you'll do on the retail end of things (10 - 25 hours per week)
- Provide outstanding customer service by welcoming everyone and helping them find the perfect gift
- Learn and share the stories behind the makers, artists, and brands we carry
- Support day-to-day shop operations like ringing customers, restocking, cleaning, and tidying
- Assisting with other operations, such as receiving, backstock, warehouse management, and shipping
- Bring warmth, personality, and knowledge to every interaction
What you'll do on the social media end of things (5 - 15 hours per week)
- Capture and create daily on-brand content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
- Write captions that are clever, clear, and true to our voice
- Plan and schedule posts that showcase our products, events, team, and mission
- Engage with our audience by responding to comments, DMs, mentions, and tags
- Brainstorm content series, reels giveaways, promotions, trends, and behind-the-scenes content
- Track and report on post performance to help grow our reach and audience
- Develop and execute strategies for growing engagment and audience over time with clear growth goals
What might make you a good fit...
- Retail sales experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and writing skills
- A great visual eye for photography, product styling, and content creation
- Confidence behind the camera and in front of it
- Familiarity with social media trends, especially Instagram
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and stay organized
- Must have ability to work at least one weekend shift, and an understanding that the holidays are CRAZYYY - so not being available during Black Friday weekend and/or the week leading up to Christmas is a no-go.
