These MATSU socks, here in lichen (a subtle greyish-green), are inspired by Japanese ink paintings of pine trees (matsu means "pine tree" in Japanese), and I wanted them to feel like a poem. I also included this translation of a poem by Shikishi Naishinnō on the label on the back of the socks:
Still in snow, the mountains are silent, yet the pine trees sing of spring
- 81% cotton 16% nylon, 3% lycra
- S/M: Fits women's shoe sizes 4–10½, men's 5–9
- M/L: Fits men's shoe sizes 7–13, women's 8½–14
