Many are Vermont-made or at least U.S.-made - just ask the staff - they are very knowledgable, friendly, and helpful.I bought two pairs of earrings made in Vermont. There is free gift-wrapping in a cut muslin bag (much appreciated!)The shop is neat, clean, bright and well merchandised. Something for just about everyone.On a scale where $$$$$ is the priciest, I would rate Common Deer a $$$$. But there is added value when you visit this shop. Popped in during a very brief visit to Burlington and wish we had more time to explore! There are so many local artists and makers - stickers, hats, soaps, candles, cute baby beanies and toys, artwork, maple syrup, chocolates, sculptures, and cards galore.

It is my go-to for gifts; I can really cross everyone off my gift list here at the Common Deer; apothecary and cool gadgets for Dad, funky jewelry for Mom, yummy treats for my honey and his sweet tooth, and the perfect gifts for my little niece. It's a one-stop-shop! What makes this experience extra special is the warm staff that greet you as you walk in; they are kind and genuinely helpful. You can tell they care about their customers and their community. It is more than just a store, it is a place that feels welcoming and full of heart! I always leave with something special and a smile on my face. I highly recommend stopping in!
