A child of 70's Vermont back-to-the-landers, V has been inspired by a love of honey and for years had wondered 'can you make preserves with honey?'. Honey is an atypical sweetener choice for preserves. But honey and honeybees play a central focus in both the world of fruit production, and the preserves made using fruit from the family farm in New Haven, VT, and other local farms. "The blossom has two fruits", and both are represented in V Smiley's fruit and honey preserves.
